Fraudulent Activity

Please be aware of fraudulent phone calls, text messages and/or e-mails that appear to be from your bank and ask for your personal or account information.

Remember:  First State Bank of Bedias will never ask for personal or account information by e-mail or solicit account information by phone.  If you receive a suspicious phone call, text or e-mail, do NOT give out any personal or account information.  If you have replied to one of these fraudulent messages, please call our Customer Service immediately at 866-661-3911.

Phishing Examples:  Phishing e-mails, texts, and phone calls come in many forms, below are some examples.

Fraudulent E-mail Example:  
From: Ebanking@bxs.com [mailto:ebanking@bxs.com]
Sent: Thursday, June 21, 2012 6:33 AM
Subject: First State Bank of Bedias - Your Password Expired
Dear Customer,
This message is mailed to you concerning your online banking user password has been expired.

Set up a new user password by following these steps:
1. Log into your online banking by our secure link for Expired Password  and entering the temporary password below.
Your temporary password is: nb42xStg756bnk
2. You will then be prompted to change your password.

This temporary password will expire in 24 hours.

Fraudulent Text Message Example:

FIRST STATE BANK OF BEDIAS ALERT:

Your CARD started with 1234 has been DEACTIVATED. Please call XXX-XXX-XXXX.
